I’m Kristin. I’ve had Lupus since I was 17. I started this blog in 2010 to be proactive in taking control of my health instead of allowing the lupus to control me.  This blog is not only my own personal diary in dealing with lupus but a way for others to relate and share advice on having lupus in the working world.  I’ve read plenty of other lupus blogs out there but most of the women are stay at home mothers.  (I’m not judging anyone, I commend you on staying at home, considering I’d probably lock my pretend kids out of the house if I had a flare).  But, this is for those of us that have to work, that want to work and pursue our dreams despite having an incurable disease.  Because no matter how hard it gets, I don’t want to give up.

  1. kristin, i’m like you…i actually have two jobs and keep myself very occupied. i’ve found keeping a blog to be very healing, and i really want to demonstrate through it the power we have over our own bodies through our lifestyle choices (ie, what we eat, how we sleep, whether we exercise, what alternative strategies we pursue other than simply relying on pills that were made in some lab…). don’t give up–one day there will be a cure! : )
